La Cloche fêlée is named following the title of the poem Fleurs du mal by Charles Baudelaire. It’s an architectural and landscape installation submitted for an entry to 16th International Garden Festival in Metis, Québec (Canada). The project’s concept is to create an outside-inside space of reflexion playing with a translucent skin and broken spaces. It is covered with coloured bands which hang slightly down until ground. To achieve this purpose, we designed a structure with the form of a spiral whose metal arms hold ropes in progressively lighter pink tones. seccion metisThe ground treatment is based on waves composed by concave and convex mounds which grow in its dimensions while approaching to the great concave mound located under the main structure. Its mission is to generate a pacific concave surface of natural grass that invite to visitors to entry in a reflexion area as a forum.

The explosion of colour is located into the bell. The vegetal heart is composed by lush plants with abundant flowers and big leaves. This element is the most riches in colour and vegetation, using tropical plants such as vitis riparia, epiphyllum x hybridus, vinca minos, wisteria sinensis and fuchsia hybrid.
